I purchased a Chadwick Lateral File Black at Staples in Larchmont, NY. I also paid $70 to have the piece assembled. A couple of days after purchase I received a phone call setting up a time when an assembler would come to my house to assemble the file. The schedule was for Saturday, Mar. 26 between 9 & 12. Manny would do the assembly.
At approximately 11:30 AM on Saturday I received a call from Manny stating that he was sorry, but HE HAD OVERSLEPT BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN UP LATE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND HE WOULD BE HERE IN ABOUT AN HOUR. I told Manny that I had set my clock for 8 AM so that I could get ready for his arrival to assemble this file! I first said ok, but about 10 minutes later I did call Manny back and told him to forget it that I would call the company and get somebody else. I wasn't confident that he was up to doing the job competently. I called the company and schedule another appointment, which means there goes more of my time being held up for something I had already scheduled a block of time for that had been completely wasted.
